My name is Trudy and I live in Wellington surrounded by trees, birds and my lovely chickens! I source old inner tubes from local bike shops and upcycle them into jewellery for you to wear and enjoy. It's an awesome use of something that usually ends up in the landfill.

The name 'Plumatic' is a combination of plumage and pneumatic - I'm creating feathers (plumage) out of old inner tubes (pneumatic tyres). The earrings are named after bike models, parts or trails and birds.

Each item of jewellery is handmade by me. I make all of my hooks out of sterling silver and cut the tubes by hand into a variety of shapes, mostly feathers and some leaves, tear drops or other shapes.
